INAUGURAL RUSH TO CURE DIABTES SOCCER MARATHON

Hello! This year, the Tennessee Rush Soccer Club will be hosting the inaugural “Rush to Cure Diabtes” Soccer Marathon.

| Type 1 Diabetes is a chronic disease which affects over 3 million children. Each year there are 15,000 new diagnosis. Those affected by Type 1 Diabetes must be vigilant in monitoring their blood sugar levels. They do this by doing finger sticks to draw blood about 8 – 10 times every day and taking several insulin shots or staying connected to an insulin pump. This is their lifeline. |

| The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation ( JDRF ) is the leader in setting the agenda for Type 1 Diabetes research worldwide, and is the world's largest charitable funder and advocate of Type 1 Diabetes research. Last year their work was noticed as a Top 10 Medical Breakthrough for the Continuous Glucose Monitoring research. It is this type of research which will one day find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes. |

| Donations made in support of the Rush to Cure Diabetes event will not only provide valuable funding for Type 1 Diabetes research, but also provide opportunity for some to play soccer with Tennessee Rush through its Rush Scholarship Program. |
