Rush Community Relations are programs that Rush employ to give back to unique segments of our community. These programs are free to all that participate, and are each aimed at specific groups within our community. Thunder - The TOPSoccer (Total Outreach Program for Soccer) Program is for players with special needs. Intended for players age from 5-21 with various degrees of mental, physical or learning disabilities. Inner City - This program is designed to bring soccer to the Inner City children that are often without the finances to play organized soccer. The program allows the less privileged player the experience of the team work, exercise and the life skills associated with soccer. R.E.A.C.H - Rush Equipment Assisting Children (R.E.A.C.H.) is a program that uses donations from Rush Members and outside contacts to donate soccer equipment to underprivileged children throughout the world. From Tsunami victims, to Russian Orphans, to the children of war torn Iraq, all benefit from the generous donations of Rush soccer and it's members. The simple things of a soccer ball or soccer shirt can make a world of difference to a child that is gong through troubled times. SOAP - Soccer Outreach & Awareness Program (SOAP) is a program where Rush soccer coaches go into local schools and educate teachers and students about the benefits of playing soccer. The education is intended to give the students the opportunity to experience soccer from professional coaches and for the teachers to increase their knowledge of soccer for future classes and students |
